Moscato di Sorso-Sennori DOC

A small DOC on the Romangia hills above the Gulf of Asinara, for sweet still and fortified Moscato rather than fizz. The wines are golden, with dried apricot, orange marmalade, candied citrus peel and honey, a soft texture and enough acidity to keep them from cloying; fortified versions add a warm, spirity finish. A few hectares and a couple of producers keep it alive.
