A larger share of Merlot, 22% this year, gives the 2023 Borgo Bonelli La Caccia from Toscana a softer edge, with 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Cabernet Franc, 21% Sangiovese, and 9% Petit Verdot completing the blend. The color is a glowing medium neon ruby core with a light red rim, and the nose offers dried strawberry, boysenberry, red rose petals, and lemon verbena. Moderate tannins give the full-bodied palate a supple shape. The finish is rich and fruit-driven.
