Meriggio 2024

A light, glowing lemon core thins to a watery rim in the 2024 Fontodi Meriggio Sauvignon Blanc from Tuscany, a blend of 95% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Trebbiano. Vinification is split three ways, with 50% in stainless steel, 25% in amphora, and 25% in 600-liter French oak, and that mix shows in a nose that is vibrant yet textured. Dried pineapple and gooseberry lead, followed by Bosc pear, lime leaf, and a dusting of dried tarragon. High acidity drives the medium-bodied palate toward a saline, grapefruit-pith finish.
