Ten months in neutral French oak keep the focus on fruit in the 2024 Ornellaia Le Volte from Bolgheri, a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. It pours a glowing ruby-purple core that runs from medium to dark, edged by a muted pink rim, and the nose is striking, with red cherry, marionberry, dried chamomile, rose petals, tomato leaf, dried orange peel, and a hint of gravel road.
