White
Boschera
A white of the Conegliano hills in the Veneto, permitted in the Colli di Conegliano rules for Torchiato di Fregona. The grapes are dried with Glera and Verdiso to make a nutty, oxidative sweet wine, one of the things these hills produced before Prosecco took over nearly every slope.
Worth knowing
It exists in one small sweet wine subzone and very nearly nowhere else. Its survival is tied entirely to Torchiato di Fregona, which means one grape depends on a handful of producers keeping a single old style alive.
