Colli di Conegliano DOCG
This is the still-wine DOCG sharing the Conegliano hills with Prosecco, and it's tiny because almost every hectare here is planted to Glera. The white is a blend built on Manzoni Bianco, floral and stony with pear and a slightly waxy texture; the red is a Bordeaux blend with Marzemino and Refosco, medium bodied, herbal and dry tannined. The two sweet subzones are the local curiosities: Refrontolo passito is a sweet, fizzy-ish red from Marzemino, and Torchiato di Fregona is a nutty, oxidative passito from dried Glera and Verdiso. Worth tasting once if only to see what Conegliano did before Prosecco took over.
