Malvasia di Candia Aromatica
An aromatic white of the Emilian hills, in the Colli Piacentini and Colli di Parma, with a clear muscat and peach perfume over moderate acid. Made dry, off dry, frizzante and passito, and it holds its aroma in all of them. It is one of the more distinctive whites of northern Italy.
Worth knowing
Despite the name it is a different vine from Malvasia di Candia, the neutral white of Lazio. One is aromatic and one is not, they are not closely related, and the label gives you almost no way to tell which you are buying.
