White
Pepella
A white of the Amalfi coast permitted in the Costa d'Amalfi rules, grown mainly around Tramonti, Ravello and Scala. It is nearly extinct, surviving as a few old vines in small vineyards, and it is a minor partner in blends built on Falanghina and Biancolella.
Worth knowing
The name comes from its small, peppercorn sized berries. I have not been able to verify a reliable description of what its wine tastes like, so this page does not attempt one.
