Drawn from the estate’s younger vineyards, the 2024 Grattamacco Rosso from Bolgheri blends 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 10% Sangiovese, and 5% Petit Verdot, aged in equal thirds of oak, stainless steel, and concrete. An inky purple-ruby core deepening toward dark meets a light red rim, and the nose shows macerated strawberry, black raspberry, lilac, dried violets, pink peppercorn, and fresh rosemary. Spicy herbal notes take over the palate, carried by moderate tannins, moderate-plus acidity, and a medium-plus to full body. About 10000 cases were made.
