The 2022 Rotta Segreta Sangiovese from Toscana pours a glowing medium orange-ruby core that fades to a pale tangerine rim, with aromas of dark cherry, rose petals, iron earth, and damp autumn leaves rising from the glass. Riper black fruit takes hold on the palate, where black plum and bramble meet a dusting of mocha and forest soil, all framed by firm tannins, a medium-plus to full body, and moderate-plus acidity.
