Drawn from a single, notably dry vineyard on the estate, the 2019 San Lorenzo Bramante Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a Sangiovese of rare intensity and grace. Four years in barrel have polished its edges without dimming its vitality. A shimmering medium ruby-cherry core glows toward a neon red rim, and the nose offers bright strawberry, a lift of blueberry, lemon thyme, and a fine dusting of white pepper. The palate is expansive, unfolding layers of wild cherry, crushed limestone, and a secondary note of sweet tobacco as the medium-plus to full body gathers momentum. Acidity is precisely tuned, and the tannins are fine-grained and firm, carrying the wine to a finish of remarkable length.
