Eighteen months in neutral French oak let the fruit and site speak clearly in the 2021 Trebotti 3S Sangiovese from Lazio. It shows a medium ruby-brick core with a light brick rim, and the nose offers dried rose petals, damp earth, and savory umami notes. Red cherry and blueberry fill the palate, with crunchy tannins and a medium-plus to full body. A touch of caramel rounds out the finish.
