Pornassio (Ormeasco di Pornassio) DOC

IL PROGETTODOCPORNASSIO (ORMEASCO DI PORNASSIO)AAIT39391989Denominazione di Origine Controllata

No strip issued. I'm still hunting a bottle.

Dolcetto by another name, grown high in the Ligurian Alps at 500 to 800 meters where it ripens later and holds more acidity than in Piedmont. The red is dark ruby, with black cherry, violet, a bitter-chocolate edge and firm but fine tannin, and it takes a few years well in superiore form. The Sciac-trà rosato is a pale, dry, strawberry-scented wine unrelated to the sweet Sciacchetrà of the Cinque Terre despite the similar name. A mountain curiosity that pairs with game and mushroom dishes.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Pornassio (Ormeasco di Pornassio), import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
