Grapes

Red

Corinto Nero

A red of the Aeolian islands, grown mostly on Lipari, giving a light coloured, high acid, herbal wine. There is very little of it and it appears in the rules of the Malvasia delle Lipari appellation.

Worth knowing

It is seedless, which is very rare in a wine grape and normally a table grape or drying trait. The berries are tiny as a result, which concentrates the skin to juice ratio in a wine that still comes out pale.
