White
Francavilla
A white of the Ostuni area in Puglia, blended with Impigno in Ostuni Bianco. The wine is light, dry and lemony with a bitter almond finish, made in small quantities in the country between the Valle d'Itria and the Adriatic and rarely seen outside the province.
Worth knowing
Its name is linked to Francavilla Fontana, a town in the same province, where it is believed to have originated. In Ostuni Bianco it makes up between 15 and 50 percent of the blend, with Impigno as the main grape.
