Terre Tollesi (Tullum) DOCG
No strip issued. I'm still hunting a bottle.
Italy's smallest DOCG by area, covering a single village where the Cantina Tollo cooperative dominates. Feudo Antico, the cooperative's estate label, makes nearly all of what is bottled. The Pecorino is the most interesting wine: lemon peel, sage, white flowers, a saline bite and firm acid. The Rosso is a ripe, glossy Montepulciano with black plum, cocoa and moderate tannin.
