Vignanello DOC

IL PROGETTODOCVIGNANELLOAAIT31960582Denominazione di Origine Controllata

No strip issued. I'm still hunting a bottle.

A hill DOC in the volcanic Cimini range between Viterbo and the Tiber, notable mainly for allowing a varietal Greco (really Grechetto) white and for Ciliegiolo in the reds. The Greco is crisp with green apple, chamomile and a bitter almond edge; the Rosso is a light, cherry scented Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo blend. Production under the DOC is tiny and the local cooperative accounts for most of it.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Vignanello, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
