Perera

A Veneto white permitted as a minority partner in Prosecco, grown in the Conegliano and Asolo hills. It brings aroma to a blend built on Glera, which has very little of its own, and it exists now in small quantities.

Worth knowing

The name is from pera, pear, for the shape of the berry and the smell of the ripe fruit. It is one of several traditional Prosecco partners squeezed out as growers planted Glera on everything that would hold a vine.
