Colline di Levanto DOC
No strip issued. I'm still hunting a bottle.
A small coastal DOC that shares grapes and terraces with the Cinque Terre but sits just around the headland. The whites are Vermentino-led with Albarola and Bosco, light, lemony and briny, with a faint bitterness on the finish. The reds blend Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo into a light, sour-cherry, herb-edged wine for drinking cool. Only a handful of estates bottle it, so most of it is drunk locally.
