Melissa DOC

IL PROGETTODOCMELISSAAAIT08682677Denominazione di Origine Controllata

No strip issued. I'm still hunting a bottle.

Cirò's neighbor to the south with the same grapes and similar clay-limestone hills near the Ionian Sea, but almost no recognition. In practice it exists because Librandi bottles its Asylia range under the name. The red is a lighter, earlier-drinking Gaglioppo with cherry, dried herbs and moderate tannin; the white is a crisp, citrusy Greco. Think of it as junior Cirò at a junior price.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Melissa, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?

    Melissa Bianco 'Asylia'

Greco Bianco; lemon, pear and a saline finish, the easiest way to tick this DOC off the list.
