Rosso di Cerignola DOC
A Nero di Troia and Negroamaro blend from the olive plain around Cerignola, better known for its giant table olives than its wine. On paper it should be a full, dark red with black plum, cherry, pepper and leather, and riservas need two years of aging, but the DOC has been almost entirely abandoned in favor of Puglia IGT and is one of the rarest labels in Italy.
