Abruzzo DOC

IL PROGETTODOCABRUZZOAAIT84047256Denominazione di Origine Controllata

No strip issued. I'm still hunting a bottle.

The regional catch-all DOC, created mainly to give Pecorino and Passerina a home. In practice it means Pecorino: a tight, mineral white with lemon, green apple, thyme and a bitter almond finish, plus far more acid and body than Trebbiano. Reds and rosatos exist but the region's real reds go under Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Buy it for the Pecorino.

Still hunting
