Cori DOC
No strip issued. I'm still hunting a bottle.
A small hill DOC known for two local grapes: Bellone, a fleshy white with pear, citrus peel, beeswax and salty minerality, and Nero Buono di Cori, a dark, peppery red with blackberry, licorice and firm tannin. Marco Carpineti, farming biodynamically above the town, has put the DOC on the map; the Cincinnato cooperative is the other serious source. Most of the top bottlings now go under Lazio IGT, but Carpineti's Capolemole pair still carry the Cori name.
