Val Polcèvera DOC

IL PROGETTODOCVAL POLCÈVERAAAIT95175574Denominazione di Origine Controllata

No strip issued. I'm still hunting a bottle.

A suburban DOC on the hills that run down into Genoa's port, with a handful of vineyards squeezed between motorways and housing. The white, especially from the Coronata hill once famous in the Renaissance, is a pale, light Bianchetta and Vermentino blend with green apple, fennel and a faintly bitter, salty finish. The reds are light blends of Dolcetto, Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo for local trattorie. Production is tiny and the wines rarely leave the city.

Still hunting

I'm still looking for a bottle of this.

If you make Val Polcèvera, import it, or know who does, the form takes two minutes and I reply to every one.

Can you help me get one?
